BLOOD RED MOON and then it disappears!! Any explanations?? View for more details...?

Well it was February of 2011 ( I cannot remember the exact day but I think it was a Thursday) at about 1:30 AM and I KNOW that the moon was plain white earlier that night... well anyways I all of a sudden look up and the moon is blood red and high in the sky. (I think it was a crescent moon but I can't remember for sure)... Well anyways by the time I got home, about 30 minutes later, the moon had totally disappeared over the horizon. I have no earthly clue where it went but it was gone... I mean I watched it gradually move over the sky back over the horizon but I don't know where it could have possibly gone to. Well anyways... I thought and as far as I can think there are no logical explanations for this except... 1: it was caused by a volcanic eruption (but I would've heard something about that) - oh and I am in south eastern Georgia. - 2: there was a lunar eclipse (still would've heard something about that later or in advance) or 3:it was filling biblical prophecy ( but i checked that and it said that the full moon shall be blood red) but still none of these theories explain the moon disappearing! Oh and I googled and checked NASA and everyone is acting like it never even happened.... I dunno but it was very weird... So anyways PLEASE help me if you have an explanation or if you saw it too!
