Why does Israel tell us lies?

I can't verify or challenge your posting, but I do think Israel has treated the Palestinians badly,,,for sixty years. I know we need Israel as an ally in the Mideast, but I resent all of the money and arms we have provided them, over the years. They flex their muscle because they know the U.S. will back them, but if they drop bombs on Iran, before President-elect Obama gets a chance at diplomacy, I don't think there would be the same support for Israel. War on another front would be more than we could handle.
