Left steaks on the counter to thaw overnight. This morning they were cool to the touch. Are they ok to eat?

I would be worried if it were hot in the kitchen all night, but I suspect they're fine if it was cool all night. I tend to leave meat out during the day to defrost if I forget to take it out and put it in the fridge the night before and I have never had an issue. But, of course, you're not really supposed to do this. I think in a pinch you're fine.
