Feel sick to my stomach, face is getting really stiff, headache ..?

from the time i woke this morning i have felt very sick to my stomach. i figured i might be getting a flu. anyways, i just had a shower a few minutes ago to see if that made me feel any better, and as soon i got out and sat down, my entire face got really stiff and i could barely even open my mouth. i got really freaked out and then my head and right ear started to hurt. what could be going on ? i am really trying to avoid going to the ER because there are a bunch of people with swine flu in the hospital where i live and i really don't want to get that.
