Why are people so desperate? (for money, fame, the easy life, themselves, etc)?

Its what sells. You see someone get famous by acting a fool or doing something drastic or creative, and you start thinking, hey I can do something bigger and better. My can be bigger, I can be skinnier, I can run faster, I can sing better, I can design better, etc...it goes on and on. People don't have time for God because they are too busy coming up with the next scheme or way to make a quick buck. Thats what they see on TV anyways. How many sitcoms have people going to church.? Do the cartoons our kids watch go to church? There are even videos on music channels with people rapping or singing secular music in the church. So many people want to be "HOOD" or "Rich". I'm sick of it myself.
