Why in our country, many Malaysian prefer to embrace other culture rather than their own culture?

Not only Malaysian (most asian) tries to imitate diff. culture. Cultural exchange have influenced these differences and it's obvious that Asian are actively imitating other countries modernization of culture even if they don't want to be.
